He served four years as Vice President of Sales at The College before joining The College’s academic division. Prior to joining The College, he worked as a Registered Representative, Investment Advisor, and Regional Vice President for AXA. During his 10-year tenure with the company, he was honored as an Elite Regional Vice President.
Gerry specializes in management and leadership development, having studied the best practices of top-performing field leaders and advisors. He has presented keynote, main stage, and breakout sessions for home office and field leaders, and advisors throughout the financial services industry. He teaches college classes at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level to students in the financial services industry, the military, and the college general population, where he receives excellent teacher and presenter reviews.
Gerry holds CFP Certification, and earned the following American College designations: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) in 1998, the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) in 2005, and the Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) in 2010. He holds a B.S. in Training Design, and completed the Masters of Science in Management (MSM) degree at The American College in 2008. He completed his doctoral degree in Business Administration at Wilmington University in 2013.
Gerry has four children, ranging in ages from teens to mid-twenties. He is married to Peg – a Pediatric Physical Therapist (and saint!). His hobbies include bike riding and photography, and he has been “learning” guitar for a few years.
