As Chief Marketing Officer of Carson Group, Heather Randolph Carter spearheads Carson’s integrated marketing and communications strategy, while also championing the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Heather is a mission-driven leader who brings more than 20 years of experience in communications and marketing and has a strong record of leading high-growth organizations with a clear vision to foster positive connections between organizations and stakeholders.

Heather’s career began in public relations, creating the foundation for a deep understanding of communications functions and the importance of relationship building, which has carried her through leadership roles in the financial services space.

Before joining Carson, Heather spent nearly two decades at LPL Financial, where she ultimately led an integrated marketing, communication, and communities function as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, successfully elevating the company’s brand, shaping client experience, and fueling growth. While at LPL, Heather led multiple rebranding initiatives; built out functions to enhance client communications and advisor marketing support; established the firm’s charitable foundation and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs; and provided strategic oversight of the firm’s expansive conference portfolio.

Beyond her professional commitments, Heather is an active contributor and leader in her industry and community. She is dedicated to expanding the markets Carson serves and attracting a more diverse range of advisors to the industry. She is a current member of the Page Society and the International Association of Business Communicators. Heather previously served as a member and president of the board of directors for Invest in Others Charitable Foundation and the LPL Financial Foundation.
